[2012] Une conviction cheville cet atlas : la nation française n'est pas un peuple mais cent, et ils ont déridé de vivre ensemble. Du nord au sud, de l'est à l'ouest de l'Hexagone les mœurs varient aujourd'hui comme en 1850. Chacun des pays de France a sa façon de naître, de vivre et de mourir. L'invention de la France cartographie cette diversité en révélant le sens caché de l'histoire nationale : hétérogène, la France avait besoin pour exister de l'idée d'homme universel, (lui nie les enracinements et les cloisonnements ethniques. Produit d'une cohabitation réussie, la Déclaration des droits de l'homme jaillit d'une conscience aiguë mais refoulée de la différence. La culture est mouvement, progrès, diffusion, homogénéisation bien sûr, mais de nouvelles différences apparaissent sans cesse, aujourd'hui maghrébines, africaines ou chinoises. Il ne saurait donc y avoir de retour à une homogénéité perdue, parce que cette homogénéité n'a jamais existé. Les défenseurs autoproclamés de l'identité nationale ne comprennent pas l'histoire de leur propre pays. Ils sont aveugles à la subtilité et à la vérité du génie national. L'effondrement du catholicisme puis celui du communisme ont engendré un vide religieux et idéologique qui a fini par couvrir tout l'Hexagone. Cette nouvelle homogénéité par le vide explique l'apparition, parmi bien d'autres choses, dans un pays où les Français classés comme musulmans ne pratiquent pas plus leur religion que ceux d'origine catholique, protestante ou juive, d'une islamophobie laïco-chrétienne, qui prétend que la seule bonne façon de ne pas croire en Dieu est d'origine catholique. Although the European Employment Strategy recognizes that gender equality and gender mainstreaming are essential for progress, the analysis of the National Reform Programs 2005 and 2006 indicated that the visibility of gender and the attention paid both to gender equality policies and gender mainstreaming in the national reports has declined. This decline appears to be strongly linked to the disappearance of the specific gender guidelines following on from the earlier removal of the equal opportunities pillar from the European Employment Strategy guidelines. A reversal of this development can only be attained if all stakeholders have a better knowledge of concrete examples of gender mainstreaming and share the commitment to integrate gender issues in the European Employment Strategy in the future. This report, therefore, provides a checklist for effective gender mainstreaming and analyzes the most relevant employment policy domains from a gender perspective. As such the report contains information for the 27 Member States in addition to three EEA-EFTA countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.--Publisher's description.
